Why Seek Therapy?

    Most people seek therapy for a number of reasons. Sometimes there is an unexpected crisis or   
life changing event that will cause us anxiety, depression or  
other uncomfortable feelings. Clients may also fear being a burden on friends or family or feel even ashamed or embarassed to admit what they are feeling. Others may be just looking for support from an objective, compassionate person who has expertise and training in a certain area.
    Sometimes having the full attention of a trained psychologist to help sort out thoughts and feelings can be extremely helpful. Treatment usually involves some variation of wanting to feel more self esteem, happier, have more fulfilling relationships and also having a sense of hope for the future.
